I know this is a bit late but I wanted to get the word out for anyone in Houston who is interested.
On Saturday, August 5th, starting at 9:00 am, there will be a protest of the decision by Houston ISD Superintendent Mike Miles to conver libraries into Zoom “discipline removal rooms”. This will affect schools which are already underserved and at-risk, and makes an already bad situation much worse.
The protest will be at 4400 West 18th Street (map attached; the building is the one marked “Houston Independent School District”).
